Cache/Zen developer
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 9 months
Purpose
Division of Information Technology, Bureau of Applications Development &
Support has a need to acquire Cache/Zen Developers (DMS Staff Augmentation
title: Applications Development Analyst, Expert) on a time and materials
basis to augment staff in the development of a software application used to
automate the coordination of healthcare to citizens of Florida.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preferred:
Leadership experience
Experience with the design and implementation of medical software, i.e.
electronic health record.
Knowledge of business processes in the medical field
Knowledge of Agile software development, project management and testing
practices
Experience with Intersystems Zen
Experience in the medical field
Experience following a software development life cycle
Experience with Scrum (agile project management)
Experience with SOAP/Web Services
Experience with ASP.NET/SQL Server

Contractors will be required to complete this work on site at DOH
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and user
staff
Ability to work as an integral team member of an Agile/Scrum team
8+ years of software development experience required
3+ years web development experience using Intersystems Cache/CSP required
1+ year Unit Testing and/or Test Driven Development experience required
Experience with formal software testing
Experience with flowcharting and/or Unified Modeling Language
Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting
*Tasks*
Report to the Data Processing Manager for Health Management Applications
Work as an integral member of an agile team
Understand business and system processes and functions of the HMS
Participate in the release and sprint planning process
Participate in requirements definition, analysis and design workshops
Analyze and design testing scenarios
Develop web-based programming code using Intersystems Cache/CSP/Zen
Participate in architecture and codeØ reviews
Perform functional testing, integrationØ testing, regression
testing, performance testing as needed
Mentor other developers
Document test results
