*Title: POS Programmer Analyst* *Location: *Columbus, OH Length: 3 Months Client currently needs a Programmer Analyst to design, develop, test and support new software and systems; make enhancements to existing software; and solve day to day production support issues. *Responsibilities:* - Participate in meetings with business users to help define requirements and project scope. - Assist in the creation of functional design requirements. Create detailed, technical design requirements. - Code, test, document, and implement both new programs and enhancements to existing applications. - Maintain on-call support responsibilities. - Identify and correct application software problems. - Participate in the creation of the functional user documentation. - Train users on the new systems. - Give weekly status updates to manager. *Requirements:* - 3-5 years of *Java development experience*, including previous *POS development experience*. ** - Working experience with PLU/Promotion and Credit. Strong understanding of different credit configurations. ** - Previous involvement in requirement gathering and defining project scope. Ability to create both functional design and technical design documents. ** - Previous testing experience within a POS application. ** - Experience providing support and training to users on their project's newly developed system. ** - Strong communication, both written and verbal.
