He/she will be working with business analysts, Cognos developers, and DB2 developers within a full BI team. Strong Web development skills using Flex and Java are essential to success in this position. Any experience with Cognos, particularly the Cognos/Java SDK and/or SQL stored procedures would be a big plus. Responsibilities: Individual will be responsible for: Hands-on development and design of web UI using Flex and Java. -Evaluating the functional requirements for new requests and estimating the effort involved. -Fixing existing bugs. -Recommending and implementing improvements to increase the speed of the application -Integrating the Flex GUI with Cognos reports via the Cognos/Java SDK. *Qualifications:* Educational and Technical Skill Requirements: -Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. -A minimum of five years experience developing complex Web applications with integration between Flex and Java. -Strong knowledge of Java and Flex required.
