Significant travel is required. This BA will spend about half of their time on location at the Distribution Center in close partnership with the DC staff and technology team, leading testing of the new automated systems, and playing point in issue resolution. The other half of their time, approximately, will be in Target Headquarters in Minneapolis as a Business Analyst on software development projects for Distribution Centers. Proficiency in BA Skill Set is Required: Analyzes business needs, identifies system and process solutions that will improve productivity, reduce costs associated with key business functions. Provides consultation and expertise to others. Design and direct development. Preparation of functional and or technical specifications. Data modeling skills. Incident management and support. Strong oral and written communications - Heavy client contact. 5 plus years experience. Proficiency in Leadership and Partnership is required: BA will be a primary point of contact managing communication and issues among several teams. Needs ability to coordinate and drive testing activities involving multiple business and technical groups. Will be point of contact during testing and production incident resolution. Needs to be skilled driving teams through resolutions in high-pressure situations, engaging with the right teams, helping to identify workarounds, and driving teams through to completion. Domain requirements: Familiarity with warehousing, automated Material Handling Equipment, distribution, and supply chain processes are a plus.
