Please submit 2 client references along with resume. *Position : ETL Lead* *Location : NYC* *Duration : 6+ months* *Rate : Open* *Project Description:*** Organization is looking to hire a ETL Lead to be responsible for designing, architecting and implementing a transactional data warehouse solution, using client’s ETL framework of Oracle Databases and the IBM Datastage platform. *Position Functions or Responsibilities:*** - Designing, architecting and implementing a transactional application integration data warehouse solution, using DOE’s ETL framework of Oracle Databases and the IBM Datastage platform. - Manage and mentor other resources on the project team to build the data warehouse. - Primary leadership for establishing and enforcing ETL & SQL data warehouse best practices and standards – including but not limited to data extraction, retrieval, storage, loading, and transformation - that result in agility in implementing changes in a fast paced environment, providing directions to large cross functional teams in the completion of their solution requirements, architecture, or implementation deliverables and ensuring on-time delivery of solutions that meet project expectations. - Collaboration with application team, data architect team, security team, data quality team, business units and data owners to successfully implement and maintain a DOE enterprise level operational data store, data warehouse, data marts and master data solution. This includes leading cross-company teams and suppliers, as needed, to aggregate and integrate data from dozens of sources throughout DOE. - Translating business requirements from across the Department of Education into technical data warehousing requirements, as well as reporting and analytics requirements. - Reviewing and providing feedback on current ETL architecture processes, policies, and vision. - Reviewing and providing feedback on strategies and standards for Business Data Integration as it pertains to data warehousing. - Contributing to developing transparent and well understood enterprise data governance processes, rules and technologies to support them. - Providing extensive expertise in enterprise data and information management methods and standards. - Creation and maintenance of the data dictionary *Required Qualifications:*** Qualification: ETL Architect Minimum Years Required: 5 Qualification: Data Architecture - Technical Leadership Minimum Years Required: 5 Other Required Qualifications/Experience: Qualification: The successful candidate must have minimally achieved the following level of experience Minimum Years required: 10 * * *Desired Skills*** - Big 4 consulting experience within a DW practice. - Experience in the Education space with knowledge of assessments software. - Knowledge of E-Scholar. - Knowledge of XML SIF. - Prior experience working in the DOE or another city agency. - Experience in iWay with the B204 adaptor being a big plus. - Design all ETL solution will be the emphasis. - Expertise includes delivery of real time and near real time solutions. - Experience in Data Architecture, Data modeling, Database design, Computer programming. - Experience in building data warehouses within an educational environment. - Five plus years of experience in ETL working with various ETLs. - Experience with one or more database:(Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
