Position: SQL Server Developer / DBA Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 6+ months Description of Assignment: IT Applications CG Microsoft is looking for a DBA/Database Developer position. *Overall there is a 60% ETL/Stored Procedure development and 40% Administration functions*. Deliverables: · Act as DB ETL Developer & Admin for our Reporting Databases (MS SQL 2000/2005) · Review and manage database system performance, capacity, planning and maintenance, and software installations and upgrades. · Creates and maintains logical/physical data structures and queries and assists Application Developers with the creation of data structures and queries. · Formulate and monitor policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management. · Create stored procedures, ETL processes for Reporting databases. · Create/manage database logins, users and roles and manage security/permissions of database servers and windows servers. · Create daily/weekly database maintenance processes to ensure 24x7 uptime and high performance. · Create and implement a disaster recovery plan for the database servers. · Coordinate activities with Business Analysts/Application Developers to ensure completion within project parameters and timelines. · Formulate system scope and objectives to resolve complex technical issues. · Act as a source for direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff. · Ensure functional integrity, application performance and design continuity. · Prepare and present project status reports to management. · Work with Infrastructure team to ensure optimized database environment Knowledge and Experience: *· 7+ years MS SQL database application development and design experience · 5+ years MS SQL performance tuning especially query tuning and indexing strategies · 7+ years maintaining, designing and optimizing SQL server environments · 2 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005* · Strong knowledge of database design best practices · Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field with work experience. · The ability to work with several groups of data and users simultaneously · Act as a source for direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff. · Ability to provide accurate work estimates and deliver on schedule in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. · Strong problem solving, innovation and analytical skills · Competence in technical specifications writing · Experienced as technical lead · Sql Server Analysis, MDX, Stored Procedures, Data Modeling, OLAP and Cube Reporting, SQL Server 2000/2005 Database, Transact-SQL programming Language Skills: English Personal Characteristics: Ability to be proactive, communicate easily, and take ownership is very critical *Thank you and take care,* *N A G E S H* *Xpert**Tech Inc **400 W Cummings Park, Suite#2850 Woburn, MA-01801 Email :* *[email protected]* <../../../../../mc/compose>* **Phone ** : 781-767-7574 Fax: 781-207-0709 Web :* *www.xperttech.com* <http://www.xperttech.com/> <http://www.linkedin.com/in/gonanagesh> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP Workflow" group.
