ASP.Net



POSITION: JUNIOR TO MID LEVEL ASP.NET/C# DEVELOPER

Location: Oakbrook, IL

Duration: Initially 6 months, with 6 month extensions



Status: H1’s are fine, they need to have good communication skills (written
and verbal) and can understand requirements that are given to them and
create the desired finished product.

Process: There will be no phone screens. There will only be 1 face to face
interview and then decision will be made. During this face to face they will
be asked to write a small program based on their knowledge/experience.



Background checks: Tell candidates that client requires a background check
and we need to know on the front end what is in their backgrounds. They will
also run credit check but that won’t be a deal breaker. Credit check is to
see if they are responsible people. All candidates will have chance to
explain their situations.

Experience: Must have at least 5-6 years of experience. Education is not a
requirement, though preferred. They really want strong developers. If you
find someone with only 3+ or 4 years experience and they are excellent
developers give them to me. Please see if they have portfolios/sample work
that can be presented with their resumes.



Job description

*Summary*
The ASP .NET Developer will design and define system architecture for new or
existing complex computer systems, determine systems specifications,
input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software
compatibility and maintenance of system security.  Coordinate design of
subsystems and integration of the total system.  Identify, analyze, and
resolve program support deficiencies, develop and recommend corrective
actions.  The developer may provide technical guidance for database
administrators and other software developers.

*Responsibilities*
* Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.  Contributes
to the development of new principles and concepts
* Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a
final product
* Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals
and objectives
* Performs bug verification, release testing and support for enterprise
systems and applications
* Delivers work estimates for proposed changes, both small and large in
scope
* Researches complex problems discovered by business or clients
* Performs coding, unit testing and integration testing

*Competency Requirements*

* Experience designing and developing n-tier applications
* Advanced knowledge of ASP. NET, .NET Framework 2.0/3.5, C#, SQL Server,
Oracle

* Good knowledge of Web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, jQuery and
HTML)
* Advanced understanding of relational database design and construction
* Experience developing website applications on the windows server platform
* Thorough knowledge of the development process, including specification,
documentation, and quality assurance

* Experience with test driven development is preferred
* Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team



*Other Education, Skills, Experience Desired*
* BS Computer Science or relevant experience (the education is not that
important. They want strong developers)
* At least 5-6 years professional experience
