* * Position: SQL Server DBA - Architect Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 6 Months contract to HIRE The Business Intelligence Center (BIC) is responsible for the support and maintenance of the MS BI platforms including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and PerformancePoint Services (PPS). This position will provide the BIC with the necessary SQL Server BI DBA skills to ensure that all of the BI Platforms are operating at peak performance with maximum uptime. The individual may also be required to consult with Project teams to provide guidance and direction specific to the build out of the appropriate BI solution using the MS BI Stack. At times this will involve proof of concept development to demonstrate the value of a particular tool. Duties/Responsibilities: • Responsible for the overall design, implementation, and maintenance of all business intelligence infrastructure • Provide necessary tuning so that all business intelligence platforms are operating at peak performance • Implement necessary monitoring strategy to ensure maximum uptime for all business intelligence platforms • Function as a technical expert in the design, development, and maintenance of OLAP cubes and data mart databases • Works closely with other SQL Server DBA’s to optimize data information usage • Provide consultation and expertise to Project Teams as it relates to their Business Intelligence needs and the build out of the Data Hub environment • Consult with Data Architects to ensure that the Data Warehouse and Data Marts are designed appropriately to meet Reporting and Analytical requirements • Consult with Solution Architects to ensure that the appropriate MS BI Tools are considered as part of the overall BI Solution • Design and Develop SSRS Reports, SSAS Cubes, SSIS Packages, and PPS Dashboards/Scorecards for support purposes and Project POC’s • Experience with BI in MOSS/Sharepoint including Excel Services and PerformancePoint Services • Provide primary DBA support for SSRS and PerformancePoint Services Metadata databases • Document standards, processes, procedures and best practices for the BIC as it relates to the MS BI product suite (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, PPS) • Provide guidance to project Teams to ensure that standards are being met as they implement BI Required Skills: • SQL Server DBA specializing in MSBI (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, PPS, MOSS/Sharepoint) • Expert in performance tuning as it relates to SQL Server, SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS • Solid understanding and experience with MDX • Well versed in database design and implementation in a SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 environment • Solid understanding and experience in dimensional data modeling including star and snowflake schemas • Expert understanding and experience with multi-dimensional databases and OLAP/Cube design • Solid understanding and experience in delivering BI solutions with BIDS (Business Intelligence Development Studio) • Solid understanding and experience with 2003 and 2008 Operating Systems and troubleshooting system level issues in which the BI Platforms operate on • Ability to communicate effectively and negotiate • Ability to multitask • Ability to view things from an Enterprise perspective • Strong team player that works well with others *Thank you and take care,* *N A G E S H* *Xpert**Tech Inc **400 W Cummings Park, Suite#2850 Woburn, MA-01801 Email :* *[email protected]* <../../../../../mc/compose>* **Phone ** : 781-767-7574 Fax: 781-207-0709 Web :* *www.xperttech.com* <http://www.xperttech.com/> <http://www.linkedin.com/in/gonanagesh> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP Workflow" group.
