The Business Analyst will own the Business Requirements documents and help to ensure documentation of data and Business Processes are thorough and complete. Additionally, this individual will work closely with Data Stewards and Data Analysts, supplying business knowledge and facilitating the accurate mapping of data and processes to the Business Model. Specific job functions will include the following: 1. Facilitate meetings with SMEs and Business users as necessary o Use current knowledge to complete the required information for defining a data element. o Work with SMEs to validate information and provide detailed information by system and business usage 2. Use knowledge of Insurance Practices and objectives to provide context to data, processes, systems and objectives 3. Support the Project Manager and technical team leads so that project deliverables are completed in a timely and professional manner o Manages to scope and assists in the change management process when necessary 4. Prepare documents necessary to support Data Governance processes and personnel 5. Assist in developing test plans and use cases 6. Analyze business rules and document business practices 7. Prepare Business Requirements documents for the following: o Reports o Data Marts o Expanded data element definitions o Source to target mappings of data throughout the Data Life Cycle (from System of Record – Central Data Repository – Data Reports) 8. Facilitate the mapping of new definitions to the Logical Object Model 9. Facilitate the OLA creation for each Source System Skillset: Minimums: o Minimum 3 years experience as a BA o Strong background in Property and Casualty insurance industry o Demonstrated experience in requirements documentation and processes, ability to produce high quality work under tight time pressures, excellent organization, should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, self starter that needs little direction.
