May require a Bachelors degree in a related area and 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client- server concepts. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Minimum 3-5 years hands on experience using Cognos BI (Report Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager) Must have experience developing packages and procedures in Oracle Database using PL/SQL Must have experience using SQL to query and analyze data in Oracle Database. SKILLS: The job requires excellent analytical skills/tools to understand business requirements and to resolve Production issues. Excellent communication (oral and written) skills are a must, as the Cognos /Oracle Developer will work directly with users to gather requirements and solve Production issues. Computer skills are a must with the following software development tools: Cognos BI ( Report Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager), SQL, and PL/SQL Programming skills. Oracle Discoverer, TM1, SQL Tuning, Data Modeling skills would be a plus.
