Their future web pages will be highly interactive and will require quite a bit of front-end coding. This is far more in-depth than simple client-side field-validation. It will involve sophisticated DOM manipulation. If you don't know what that means and haven't had experience doing it--this isn't the job for you. This role will take UI designs and artifacts from their web designer and develop them into functional client front-ends. This person will also work closely with the Java server-side developers to come up with the right APIs to connect client and server via Ajax calls. - Required Skills: - Front-end web design and development - Javascript, CSS, jQuery, HTML - Experience with DOM manipulation - Ability to take web designs and determine what development needs to take place to fulfill the front-end requirements - Able to develop APIs to connect client and server via Ajax calls *Desired Skills:* - Some experience with Java would be helpful. *Client Environment:* - Client is business casual, and is currently undergoing a lot of change within their IT organization.
