Position: Java Enterprise Portal Architect *Length:6-12 Months Location:San Francisco, CA * *Skills*:JavaScript,Web Services,AJAX,Spring,Java/J2EE, JSR 168,RDBMS, Oracle DBMS,UML, HTML * Responsibilities include:* *Strong knowledge of the current state of the art in portal technology and architecture. Ability to confidently define/make recommendations in support of building a forward looking next generation customer portal with sophisticated *UI,* analytics and social capabilities. * As lead/chief architect * perform oversight of application development, integration and maintenance, along with documentation of technical specs * being delivered by multiple teams/vendors. *Work closely and collaborate with business analysts and UX Team to clarify and implement against requirements and specifications; *Perform code analysis and work with *UX* Team, architects and other developers to come up with the best balance of functionality vs. code quality vs. performance vs. delivery timing vs. work effort; *Partner and work closely with the portal leads and to provide and implement best practices across projects; *Work with other team members and act as a mentor as needed for other developers, providing technical guidance and support to others wherever knowledge and experience permit. **Minimum 10 years of experience in software development and enterprise system integration; ** At least 7 years of production experience in the design and development of information systems on portal-based projects using portal technology; *with at least 3 years in a lead architect / consultant role.* *Strong Web Services experience is required. *Strong JavaScript experience is required.
