Title: Project Manager - Application Inventory Client: New York City Hospital and Corp Duration: 8 Months Job Description: New York City Health and Hospitals Corp. (HHC) is looking for a Project Manager for an application inventory project. The individual must have very good communication skills, both written and oral and have some familiarity with software application installation, application scanning, licensing and support. Throughout the project the individual will be asked to work with IT leadership, programmers, technical support, Application Owners, and vendors to discover all software that is currently deployed throughout the entire organization. Responsibilities: · Schedule and lead planning and application design sessions as well as training sessions for team resources as well as external users · Manage and schedule resources for four research analysts and one web programmer, ensuring that all items are completed according to the project plan · Schedule and lead meetings with resources throughout the corporation to establish initial contact, perform application inventory and assure that inventory is accurate and complete · Mentor fellow team members to assist as questions or issues arise concerning the inventory and application development and reach out to internal resources to find adequate answers · Coordinate testing of both the application and inventory data accuracy · Prepare project status updates, including timeline, issue tracking and raise concerns to IT leadership when encountering various challenges in gathering information · Prepare all documentation related to the application inventory project Experience: · 5 Years Project Management experience, leading projects within an Information Technology department · 5-10 Years experience working within an Information Technology environment · Excellent communication (oral and written) skills · Ability to work comfortably with both business users and technical users · Ability to lead a small team with solid interpersonal skills including group facilitation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills · Experience working with various types of software including installation, support and licensing · Previous experience performing software or hardware inventory and asset management a plus · Previous work experience in healthcare a plus Must be willing to work on site at New York City and travel to each of the HHC facilities located throughout the different boroughs of New York City.
