*High Level Job Description:*
Provide vb.net development expertise to complete assigned development
activities within the Global R&D Formula Specification System (FSS)
implementation project under the direction of the FSS Development Lead. This
role transforms business and customer functional requirements into technical
solutions.
*Job Description*:
- Perform analysis, design, and development of new and existing computer
programs.
- Write code and complete programming, testing and debugging of
applications.
- Finalize forms, procedures, and documentation needed for installation
and maintenance of application programs.
- Participate in design reviews.
- Provide time estimates of work and target completion dates.
- Responsible for following/implementing all SDLC/PLM processes.
- Create detailed documentation for support reference and future
development.
- Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
- Work effectively in a matrixed environment
- Sense of urgency to meet project deadlines.
- Builds trust with the project team and be a person of high integrity.
- Works well under pressure and can handle change and ambiguity.
- Occasionally work overtime, as requested.
*Skill Sets:*
- *Required:*
- 7 + years experience in software development
- In-depth knowledge of client/server and web applications
- VB.NET, SQL Server
- Strong documentation skills
- *Desired:*
- Java
- Documentum experience a plus
*Required Qualifications:*
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical degree
- Solid understanding of information systems, supporting tools, software
development process, application and development lifecycles and project
management methodology.
