PeopleSoft System Administrator

*PeopleSoft Systems Administrator administers the day-to-day PeopleSoft (PS)
systems.  The PeopleSoft Administrator responsibilities include
administration for all PS development & production environments, development
migrations, creating new and refreshing non-production environments,
performance tuning, troubleshooting, on-going maintenance and application of
patches and upgrades. The PeopleSoft Administrator day-to-day activities
will include: *

*1. Install, configure and provides technical support and assists other PS
support resources to install new PS environments and refreshes
non-production environments on UNIX (IBM-AIX) and Microsoft.*

*2. Provides technical support and assists other PS resources to
troubleshoot and resolve production/development support issues for the Web,
Application, Batch, File and Database servers.*

*3. Maintains and monitors PS PIA components such as Web Server, Application
Server, Process Scheduler, Integration Broker and Application Messaging.
Supports the PS server, database and security administration needs on a UNIX
and Microsoft systems infrastructure.*

*4. Provides technical support and assists other PS resources with upgrades
to PeopleTools and Application versions in addition to applying application
patches and fixes provided by the vendor.*

*5. Works with PS developers and Functional Specialists in configuring the
PS environments. Assists in debugging PS errors with developers and, when
needed, opening and managing cases with the vendor.*

*6. Implements, monitors, tunes and administers the systems that makes up
the PS environment.*

*7. Perform migration of PeopleSoft objects and various batch objects
between various environments and/or Source code control software.*

*8. Assist PS developers in setting up and execution of batch jobs.*

*9. Participates in infrastructure planning, database design, data mapping
and conversion activities that meet functional and operational requirements
as well as IT standards. Communicates appropriately and effectively in
verbal and written form with business clients and colleagues. Participates
in Team meetings and performs normal administrative  duties such as status
reporting. Provide technical knowledge to the IT department and the PS
project team.*



*Skills / Requirements*

5 years of experience as a Software/Applications Administrator. PeopleSoft
v8.9 or higher is preferred.

5 years experience with PeopleTools and PeopleSoft Internet Architecture
including Web, Application and Process Scheduler Servers.

5 years experience with PeopleSoft Integration Broker, Upgrade Assistant
and/or Change Assistant tools.

5 years of PeopleSoft Technology Administration experience supporting Oracle
database Server platforms.

Experience with creating Application Support documentation.

Excellent understanding of, and experience with, a systems development
lifecycle methodology Experience and PeopleSoft HRMS(v8.9 or higher)
functionality

Working knowledge of App Designer, PeopleCode and SQRs.

Preferred previous BPEL  installation and configuration experience**
