Here is the Direct client requirement for your reference purpose. *Sr, Network Engineer - GC or US Citizen only* *Location: Murray Hill, NJ* *Duration: 3 - 6 Months C 2 H* *Interview process: Telephonic hire* *SUMMARY OF POSITION* The Video Solutions Engineer (VSE) is primarily responsible for evaluating and testing new products, systems, and services for use on the Glowpoint Video Exchange Service. The position has day to day involvement in lab testing and readying services for production release to market. The position requires experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals associated with performing and managing a variety of complicated tasks in a lab environment. The VSE position requires a primary understanding of multimedia standards and protocols (e.g. H.323 and SIP) as well as IP networking and associated routing protocols. Knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls. Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems is also needed. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Evaluate and test new service applications in a lab environment prior to production network implementation Recommends alterations to development and design for the purpose of improving quality of applications and/or procedures Troubleshoot/resolve escalated production application issues Coordinate change management in conjunction with new application implementation, software/hardware upgrades, etc. Document test plans, designs, procedures, etc. for handoff to Operations (Service Delivery, NOC, etc.). Working closely and collaborating with other internal departments and external organizations to resolve design and implementation issues. Provide training and technical support to internal departments as needed on new and existing services and applications. *REQUIRED SKILLS* Experience working with IP networks, routing and switching, etc. Experience in the art of working with MS Server 2000/2003/2008 in addition to Linux OS based applications Experience with Broadsoft BroadWorks platform a major plus Experience with ACME Packet SBC a plus Process oriented with excellent troubleshooting skills A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected An understanding of IP videoconferencing technology and its associated standards (H.323, SIP) and associated video and audio protocols. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must Excellent knowledge and usability of MS Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project, and PowerPoint. *EDUCATION LEVEL* Bachelor’s Degree preferable and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
