*Description:* The focus of this position is to lead the performance testing
workstream for a large cross-channel project at  Client Location  that
involves adding significant integration between our Direct (eCommerce and
Catalog) and Stores Sales Channels. This contract role will be approximately
12 months in duration and will report to an overall project test manager.
The goal of performance testing is to proactively identify and resolve
application and architectural issues related to scalability under high user
or transaction volumes. The ideal resource would have a strong technical
background related to system architecture, strong communication and
leadership skills, and significant expertise in the HP Performance Testing
suite (LoadRunner and Performance Center). Client  uses a risk-based
approach to identifying performance testing scope, and the performance test
lead will need to collaborate with multiple technical and functional teams
to identify and categorize the risks in the architecture. Some performance /
volume tests may need to be executed manually, so it will be important to
have experience facilitating testing across multiple technical resources.
The test lead will report status to project leadership regularly and will
own the identification and communication of any issues or risks for the
performance testing workstream on the project. This resource may also be
asked to lead some of the more technical aspects of functional testing
scope, as time permits. Position Qualifications .Manages performance testing
activities on one or more large IT projects. Includes working with project
leaders on resource planning and timelines,



identifying key performance risks and designing automated or manual test
scenarios to mitigate these risks,



facilitating test execution and defect management activities across a large
project team, and providing regular status to project and business leaders.



.Expert in performance testing methodologies, including conducting a
performance risk assessment, developing repeatable test scripts using
appropriate test data, baselining / benchmarking performance,



designing test scenarios to mimic various load conditions, and leading a
team of technical resources through the iterative process of testing and
tuning. .



Strong experience in HP LoadRunner or Performance Center.



.Strong understanding of Systems Development Lifecycle and Project
Management methodologies. Exposure to the Agile methodology is preferred.



.Independently documents and presents test strategies / plans to project and
business leaders.



.Experience leading multiple resources on projects. .Exhibits strong written
and verbal communication skills with IT and Business audiences.



.Excels at working in a project environment and on cross-functional teams. .



Experience in retail, eCommerce apps, stores / POS apps, and cross-channel
architectures is preferred. .

Bachelor''s degree in IT or equivalent experience. .5+ years experience in
software testing
