*Please respond with Resume, Rate and Phone numbers of the consultant to: [email protected] ASAP.* *Position : Data Modeler( Locals or nearby state preferred )* *Location: Downers Grove, IL* *Duration: 6-12 months contract* * * *Face to face is must* *An insurance (life or health) OR an ecommerce background is preferred.* * Here is a brief write up.* Data Modeler: *Basic Function:* This position is responsible for providing thought leadership in the development of logical relational and dimensional and meta data models that satisfy business needs and conform to DN standards; serving as the primary source to update and improve the data modeling process leading to enhanced efficiency, effectiveness and accuracy; providing guidance and leadership in the area of logical/physical data model(s); providing understanding of management and planning skills, and a complete knowledge and understanding of Dearborn National business objectives as related to the creation of data strategies and the related structures. *Essential Requirements:* 1. Provide thought leadership in the design and development of logical/physical relational and dimensional data models for various large scale operational system and reporting projects. 2. Act as a team leader in the development and coordination of various application level logical/physical data models across multiple projects. 3. Implement logical/physical relational, dimensional data models for the largest and most complex implementations at Dearborn National. 4. Maintain enterprise-level logical models and ensure consistency between the enterprise and application level. 5. Understand and apply knowledge of data-process relationships in the organization to the creation and refinement of data models. 6. Work with all levels of business and technical staff to develop business needs and define business requirements for the development of data models and database solutions. 7. Develop and enforce data model standards and conventions. 8. Analyze the impact of system and process changes to current information repositories, applications, and Business intelligence solutions. 9. Design and develop SQL queries for extracting information from data stored in the database. 10.
