The Software Architect’s main goal is to ensure success of the project by designing the foundations of the application. This includes defining both the organizational structure of the application and the physical structure of its deployment. In these endeavors, the Software Architect’s goal is to reduce complexity by dividing the system into clean and simple partitions. The resulting architecture is extremely important because it not only dictates how the system will be built going forward, but also establishes whether the application will exhibit the many traits that are essential for a successful project. These include its usability, whether it is reliable and maintainable, whether it meets performance and security standards, and whether it can be evolved easily in the face of changing requirements. A person assigned to this role should be added to the Contributor permissions group. This allows them to do all that they need to perform their function, such as create and modify documents, work items, and work products. The Software Architect will report to the Practice Manager and regularly report progress to New World Senior Management *Position Requirements:* · Should have experience as a Software Architect defining designs for component based applications, and integrating the New World products · Experience developing performance based product sets · Experience in working with customer’s to understand overall solution strategy · Will serve as a key member of Solution Consulting team and be the liaison to the Solution Consulting Architect team · Familiarity with Visual Studio.NET development tools and Agile Development Methodologies · Experience with Object Oriented Behavior based development · Proven Test Driven Development skills · Ability to come up to speed quickly on ERP based applications · Knowledge and application of best practices in software engineering · Ability to work within aggressive development schedules · Must have excellent oral and written communication skills - Must be a team player and have team-building skills · Excellent work ethic.
