· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or a related
discipline
· Minimum 6-7 years of hands on experience working with x86 hardware in a
large scale, multi-hundred or thousand server, environment
· Minimum 4 years of hands on experience with x86 Operating Systems: 32
and 64-bit version of Windows 2003/2008 and Windows 2003/2008 Clustering
· Minimum 2 years of experience working with a variety of Windows
scripting languages (PowerShell, VbScript and batch)
· Minimum 2 years of experience with VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V
in a large scale enterprise environment
· Minimum 3-4 years of experience with Citrix 4.5 / Zen app etc.
*Essential Responsibilities :*
The Infrastructure Architect - Windows Server Engineering role will :
· Be a technology leader in the Microsoft Windows Server platform for
shared global data centers (Windows, Citrix & VMWare)
· Lead New Product Introductions (NPIs) for Microsoft Windows Server,
related components, and supporting technologies
· Provide technical expertise in the Windows OS for both existing and new
Windows Server products and technologies
· Interface with other teams such as x86 hardware, virtualization, tools,
application and business teams
· Develop and implement best practices and engineering standards for the
Windows OS server space
· Create and maintain OS install automation as well as application
installation automation using both packaged tools as well as various
Windows scripting languages
(PowerShell, VbScript, batch, etc.)
· Work closely with x86 hardware, storage, backup, network, and other
teams to develop and deliver optimized, end-to-end Windows Server
technology solutions
· Develop and maintain Work instructions for OS and application based
installation
· Develop and maintain designs and deployment strategies for advanced
Windows features such as IIS/FTP/SMTP as well as VMware
· Provide technical leadership and consultation to businesses and internal
teams
· Be comfortable with conducting meetings, and creating and presenting
professional grade deliverables such as technical architecture documents,
technical drawings,
and presentations
· Interface directly with Microsoft Corporation and related Microsoft
Windows technology vendors
· Use Project Management Methodology, and LEAN Six Sigma quality tools and
rigor in developing business solutions
