*Please send us resume to : [email protected]* Position : *Software Architect* Location : *Boise, ID* Duration : *12 months + extensions* * * The Software Architect Senior is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing application infrastructure to provide highly complex, reliable and scalable, applications and systems to meet the organizations, objectives and requirements. Senior Architects are familiar with a variety of the application technologies, environments, concepts, methodologies, practices and procedures and rely on experience and judgment plan and accomplish goals. Software Architect Seniors are able to perform a variety of complicated tasks with minimal or no direct supervision. The Software Architect Senior will have proven experience defining systems and application architecture. Additionally, the Software Architect Senior will provide a clear vision to management and team members of how the architecture will resolve issues and provide the needed functionality and features being requested. The person filling this position must have excellent skills in risk analysis, problem solving, and creative thinking. *Experience:* Six years plus software development, testing, and/or project management *Education:* Four year college degree in computer science or related field with advance study preferred *Description of skills and knowledge include:* • Manages, organizes, and administers systems analysis and preparation of applications and operating systems programming to process data and solve problems by use of computers. • Establishes priorities and schedules, and oversees and reviews work of systems analysis personnel and programming personnel • Assists in the development of standards, procedures, and operating systems applications. • Works with stakeholders and management to ensure projects are completed on time and according to organization standards. • Consults with management to clarify systems and programs intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and determine extent of application systems changes required. • Compiles documentation of program development and subsequent revisions. • May supervise other contractors. What we are looking for is a strong technical contributor who can quickly come up to speed on our application infrastructure, both from a hardware and software perspective. The candidate filling this position must able to assist developers in resolving technical issues and assisting in the implementation of new technologies. Our current environment consists of : Clustered environments Apache – Web Servers JBoss – Application Servers Oracle 10g/11g – (Upgrade Implementation) (New Oracle features RAC, Golden Gate, 24x7, and DR) Performance monitoring tool - Wiley Intrascope Sun Solaris, Ubunto, Linux and Windows OS environments Continuous integration develop environment (MyEclipse, Developer Appliance, Hudson Automated build and deployment tool, automated testing processes) Legacy Java application. 1.8 million lines of J2EE code based on GRNDS framework (pre struts), multiple 3rd party tools integrated into the core application (Adobe Lifecycle, IBM ILOG rules engine, Siteminder, etc.) Additional J2EE applications (eVerif-I, daily, monthly, quarterly, annual batch processes) Implementation of new SOA system features.
