*DIRECT CLIENT Requirement* Job Title : *Storage Administrator / SAN Engineer / SAN Admin* Location : Malvern, Pennsylvania Project Duration : 9 Months Skill Set : Seeking a Storage Administrator candidate with 5+ years experience in Storage and Backup Technologies. Candidates will possess experience in a multi-vendor Storage environment supporting the Open Systems Storage platform. Demonstrate the ability to work in fast pace environment with previous experience supporting large numbers of systems (servers 500) and support of large storage environments (100TB). Responsibilities Include: · Perform SAN Storage provisioning (Zoning & Masking) primarily on EMC VMAX/DMX platforms. · Perform SAN Storage provisioning (Zoning & Masking) on Netapp 32xx & 62xx series filers. Administer, monitor and maintain Netapp NAS environments with intermediate knowledge of CIFS & NFS protocols. · Perform storage migration activities using EMC Open Replicator and Open Migrator tools. · Recommend ongoing storage performance optimization recommendations. · Provide technical consulting assistance to customers including recommending Best Practice's and analysis of the current environment. · Collect and analyze storage performance metrics across multiple platforms. Perform capacity planning and storage reporting duties. Requirements include: Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting storage platforms, data protection and disaster recovery technologies in a high availability enterprise environment. Working knowledge of major storage vendors technology and products including EMC (VMAX/Symmetrix, EMC Clariion, VNX) IBM (DS8000, XIV) Netapp (VFilers and associated software. Must possess strong working knowledge of fibre channel SAN technologies including Brocade tools (Brocade Fabric Manager/Brocade Network Advisor, Fabric Watch & Webtools). Experience working providing storage to ESX platform. Experience with scripting and automation a plus. Demonstrates technical innovation and self motivation Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex storage problems including performance related issues. Proven successful experience with Problem Management, Incident Management, Change Management and Release Management. Backup technology experience using IBM TSM, Symantec Netbackup and/or Backup Exec or EMC Networker & Data Domain with a clear understanding of data & systems recovery technologies Experience with the following would be considered a plus (Storage Virtualization & Veritas Storage Foundation suite).
