*Senior PHP Developer/Joomla White Plains, NY 12 plus months* Senior PHP Developer/Joomla for White Plains, NY The qualified individual will develop PHP modules, components, templates and plugins for Joomla. The qualified PHP Developer will be joining a dynamic team of professionals responsible for the migration of an existing website from a proprietary content management system into the County of Westchester’s Joomla environment. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology. 5 years of software development experience in analysis, application development, test, implementation & support experience. Strong communication and analytical skills to facilitate work with Vendors, Customers and IT Staff and a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks as well as work independently or in a team environment. Skills set required: Joomla component development in PHP CSS and ability to convert existing HTML websites into Joomla templates JQuery, Java Script MySQL and MS SQL Server relational databases Ability to understand and work with complex database schemas and data types Thorough knowledge of the fundamental concepts of server and client operating systems and multi tier architecture Knowledge of GUI design and Section 508 Compliance Good troubleshooting / problem solving skills Good documentation skills Experience with quality control is a plus.
