The candidate should have a thorough understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, as well as experience with graphics program such as Photoshop to slice and optimize graphics for the web. They should understand web standards (such as w3C html specifications) and cross-browser compatibility issues. They should be familiar with SEO & web optimization techniques. *Preferred skills* are experience with an enterprise content management system & jQuery. A candidate who has the ''ability to hand-code HTML & DHTML/JavaScript'', will have a thorough understanding of HTML, CSS, & JavaScript.
