Main Function

This is a Team Lead Analyst/Programmer contract role, working very closely
with the Market Risk Management Group. The major functions of the job are:

Software development/enhancements to meet Risk Mangers requirements

General Business Analysis and systems development/enhancement related to
Global Market Risk initiatives

Co-ordination of different groups associated with the above initiatives
including consolidating user issues

When required, investigation of problems in the process to identify and
rectify issues

Main Duties

Development of tools and applications mainly using VBA (Excel), SQL Server,
and C#

Interpreting market risk requirements and turning them into technical
solutions

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast pace
environment

Clear communications with different Risk Management teams and effectively
managing stakeholder expectations

Liaising with different stakeholders in order to provide information,
coordination, and/or status reports on various project

Person Requirements

Bachelors Degree or equivalent

Must have experience in developing rapid application technical solutions to
meet business requirements in a Risk/Finance environment

Must have SQL (SQL Server 2005 or higher) experience (5+ years)

Must have C# experience (3+ years)

Must have VBA experience, - developer level (3+ years)

Knowledge of OOP theory

Ability to streamline processes in a most efficient manner not only within
the team but also within the firm, and if required, negotiate / persuade
other departments to accept the change

Basic understanding of Fixed Income

Escalates breaches of policies and procedures appropriately

Must be regarded as proactive and assertive in driving control improvement
for their area

Strong control awareness

Strong understanding and has the mindset to strive to identify potential
control breakdowns in process, also demonstrated with effective procedure
manuals

Management; (5) Adherence to Standard Project Lifecycle; (6) Budget /
Financial Management including Business Case completion; (7) Evaluation of
impact to Total Cost of Ownership for multiple simultaneous, complex

boundaries, but typically will be responsible for both deliverables and
projects.
