*Position: JAVA Programmer/Analyst * *Location: Tarrytown, NY* *Duration: 6+ Months Contract* * * *Position Functions or Responsibilities:* The Tax Modernization Project (the “Project”) includes replacing the Unemployment Tax System’s Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) database structures with IBM’s relational database structure (DB2), modifying the existing code to accommodate the new data structures, upgrading the development and testing tools so that the new Unemployment Tax System can be supported efficiently into the future, reducing the complexity of rates functionality and improving processing, and updating the CICS staff user interface without a complete redesign (e.g., use tool to transform screens to accessible web pages and incorporate more intuitive menus and dropdown selection) to reduce training costs and improve customer service representative productivity. The JAVA Programmer/Analyst(s) will be responsible for developing approved Unemployment Insurance Business Requirements. Will be required to conduct, or participate in, some stages of testing.
