*Position: Java Developer* *Location: Charlotte, NC* *Duration: 10 Months Contract* * * *Qualifications:* Roles and Responsibilities Responsible for development implementation of web based applications in a complex Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment. The candidate will develop software based on UNIX and Windows platforms and excellent Java EE design and development skills are required.* *** * * *Specific Duties* **· **Work with technical teams and senior technical architects to finalize architecture specification and create design as required **** **· **Facilitate detailed design from requirements and support construction, certification, and launch **** **· **Assist in reviewing requirements, use cases, associated test cases, and test data **** **· **Ability to develop Java EE components in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment **** **· **Participate in design and code reviews -Develop functional and unit test code as per requirements and design. -Validate the code against unit tests, security tests, and profiling tools -Validate the expected QA test cases within the development environment -Prepare builds and deployment packages, along with detailed deployment and operational documentation covering errors and recovery procedures **** **· **Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during various stages of testing and production, including during the deployment and implementation of the code in production environments **** * * *Requirements * **· **Knowledge of SOA approaches, design patterns, and frameworks, as well as prior experience developing web services in a SOA based technical environment is required. **** **· **Capable of understanding Java EE web services (REST, SOAP) and other components, as well as custom integrations to legacy applications and data stores. **** **· **Experience using technologies such as Java/Java EE, XML, HTTP, and WSDL is required. Experience using Oracle WebLogic Server/ Oracle Service Bus highly preferred. **** **· **Ability to do database development and configuration -Prior experience designing and implementing web applications using Java EE technologies and frameworks such as JSP, Apache Struts, Spring etc.**** **· **Prior experience with ANT and spring batch -Capable of recommending various technical solutions, including doing impact analysis and documenting and explaining trade-offs **** **· **Experience with client/server and distributed computing architecture**** **· **Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn new information quickly **** **· **Experience with open source frameworks such as Spring framework, Hibernate, JUnit, and Ehcache**** **· **Experience working with code versioning and repositories such as SVN, Rational **** **· **Experience in agile, iterative, and waterfall development environments -Strong capabilities performing independently and as part of a cross-functional, team in a fast paced environment. **** **· **Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
