Position: Senior WebSphere Administrator

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 1 Year

*Job Description & Responsibilities:*

The Sr. Websphere Administrator will support OJI and RC Express
applications and will automate all the deployments by creating deployment
jobs. The WebSphere Administrator will provide support for non-production
and production environment.

 1. Provide Web Sphere support for distributed servers in a
multi-datacenter environment.

2. Monitor daily activities and performance of complex Web Sphere
environments in UNIX or Windows, analyzes technical problems, recommend
adjustments, creates and implements approved solutions using established
tools and techniques for the IBM Web Sphere suite of products (IBM
Application Server, Portal, MQ Series, etc.) in virtual or non virtual
environments.

3. Provide technical assistance to the application development area and
co-workers about Web Sphere system analysis, design and programming.

4. Configures Web Sphere services (e.g. security, JDBC, clusters).  Plans,
installs and coordinates Web Sphere releases, migrations, upgrades and
maintenance. Build new environments as needed and need to implement Web
Sphere virtualization.

5. Coordinates with network and storage groups for Web Sphere server based
configurations.



*Required*

- 1a - 7 years experience showing hands on duties w/IBM Web Sphere
Application Servers at 7.x or higher in a large multi-tier,
multi-platform...

- 1b - 7 years (multiple hardware nodes at each level) UNIX environment
supporting multiple app clusters. (e.g. install, maintain, tune, configure,
problem determination)

- 2a - 7 years experience showing hands on duties w/administering Web
Sphere Network Deployment manager in a multi-tier, multi-platform large
(multiple hardware)
