Oracle DBA/ADBA

Work location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 12months+

There will Skype video interviews.

 Hourly Rate-$40/hr on c2c



Mandatory Skills:

•         Experience in relational database design, data structures,
schemas, scripting, access methods, data standards, data control, and
security.

•         Excellent PL/SQL programming skills ( CREATE STORE PROCEDURE /
TRIGGER ETC.)  & SQL writing.

•         Expert in Unix and shell scripts for automation.

•         Oracle Scheduler and Advanced queues.

•         Excellent DB performance tuning skills (SQL & Memory), good
understanding of parallel processing & AWR report.

•         Works closely with PDBA / developers to design databases and then
creates primary database storage structures (tablespace) and objects
(tables, views, indexes.)

•         Strong analytical skills of system flows and processes;
structured thinking.

•         Export/Import, Data Pump hands on experience.

•         Writing database documentation, including data standards,
procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (‘metadata’).

•         Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast
query responses to 'front end' users;

•         Capacity planning.

•         Performs and documents effective tuning, monitoring and security
practices for the various Oracle environments.

•         Mapping out the ‘conceptual design’ for a planned database in
outline;

•         Considering both 'back end' organization of data and 'front end'
accessibility for end users;

•         Refining the ‘logical design’ so that it can be translated into a
specific data model;

•         Controlling access permissions and privileges;

•         Communicating regularly with technical, applications and
operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.

•         Worked with different versions of Oracle including latest 11g

•         Experience and knowledge of the software development life cycle
(SDLC) and application support methodologies.

•         Working knowledge of multiple operating systems and database
platforms, hardware/storage configurations and networks.

•         Working knowledge of n-tier applications architectures

•         Knowledge of tools and technologies related to database
advancements and very proficient knowledge and hands on toad

•         Working with large-scale, highly available distributed Oracle
systems.

•         Establishing the needs of users and monitoring user access and
security;

•         Ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures
are functioning correctly;





Additional but preferred skills:

•         Maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data
Protection Act

•         Oracle Real Application Cluster(RAC) experience

•         RMAN backups

•         Database cloning using Hot backup

•         Developing, managing and testing backup and recovery plans.
