Develop and maintain programming code. Prepare detailed maintenance and system support documentation. Unit test program modifications and troubleshoot and resolve unexpected results. Verify application functionality meets Use Case results. Debug routine program defects and prepare system test data. Facilitate system walkthroughs with the Business Systems Analysts, Clients and Maintenance groups. System Analysis and Technical Design: Support the Senior Programmer and work with the Business Systems Analyst to understand business needs and requirements. Prepare alternative technical solutions, recommend optimal solution based on best practices, company standards, cost effectiveness and use cases. Plan, estimate and schedule recommended solutions. Provide required design documentation including SOX required controls, maintenance procedures and impact analysis of up/down stream interfacing systems. Develop Unit Test documentation, including plans, cases and scripts. Application Maintenance and Support: Provide technical consultation and research to the Business Systems Analyst. Provide on-call support to troubleshoot and analyze and resolve system defects and problems. Required: Strong Java and J2EE skills (Servlet, JSP, JDBC) Spring, Hibernate; PL/SQL, Oracle DBMS Reports development using Actuate, Business Objects or Crystal Java Script, AJAX Systems application testing concepts and methodologies Minimum 2 years programmer analyst work experience BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science.
