Business Analyst, Pharma
Location: Tarry town, NY
Duration: 18+ months
Rate: $60/hr (Flexible for a right fit)

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis and solution
definition for Information Technology Projects. They will work closely with
IT management and the client community to identify business/process
requirements and translate them into technical specifications. The Business
Analyst in this role will work across multiple projects at the company
within Development, Research, Finance, Administration.

Responsibilities:

    Quickly understand the business issues and data challenges of client's
organization.
    Identify client organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests
areas of improvement according to functionality of applications.
    Prepare requirements, specifications, business processes and
recommendations.
    Evaluate user requirements and propose optimal solutions ("buy or
build").
    Determines the effects of changes in business process on existing
applications
    Develops test conditions and accurate and complete test plans.
    Conducts testing according to plan.
    Will work closely with IT management and the clients to identify and
specify business requirements and processes in diverse development
platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems,
client server), software, hardware, technologies and tools.
    Acts as expert technical resource to evelopment staff in all phases of
the development and implementation process.
    Reviews the functionality of business systems to ensure that it
continues to satisfy users varying needs.
    Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.

Experience:

    Experience in a fast growing Biotech or similar R&D environment.
    Experience in gathering requirements and business analysis.
    Requires an in-depth knowledge of the system development life cycle.
    Demonstrated ability in creation of requirements and design documents
and test scripts.
    Must be competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases
of system design and implementation.
    Project Management experience a plus.
    Excellent Communication (Verbal and Written), analytical and problem
solving skills.
    Must show strong judgment and time management skills.
    Must understand the components of running a fiscally successful project.
    Strong Customer Service Focus.
    Demonstrable experience implementing MOSS based solutions a strong plus.
