*Position : ETL QA Tester* *Location : Columbus, OH* *Duration: 12 months+* *Interview: Phone* Lead and or complete new development project test analysis and test lead responsibilities for the NI Data Warehouse. Role will be responsible to work on new development projects and coordinate with the Production Support team on test analysis to support the NI DW applications. Responsible for providing estimates and status to the leadership team and display thought leadership in identifying process improvements. Strong communications skills required to interface directly with our customers and ability to present to project teams and leadership team. Testing requires strong SQL development skills and in depth knowledge of databases and data warehousing standards and data models. Will be responsible to work on a Teradata platform and test the ETL code for staging and building the foundation and reporting layers. Could include Microstrategy testing report development. Informatica and SQL skills a must have and looking for someone with at least 3-5 years experience. In addition this role will be leading the test driven development initiatives and rolling this process out for the Data Warehouse team. *A Test Analyst:* Analyzes and reviews requirements and technical work products . Defines and manages test plans, strategies, results reporting and metrics . Designs test scenarios, scripts and data, then executes the scripts .Validates test results and records and researches defects ??Coordinates and plans test runs and calendars . Maps requirements to tests and test results ??Prioritizes, defines and manages defect reporting and resolution Test Analysts also coordinate release tests. In this capacity, a Test Analyst: ??Executes release back-out plan testing ??Validates that release components are installed in the appropriate testing environment ??Sets the release test strategy (includes all release life cycle testing phases) ??Coordinates all release testing efforts (includes all phases of testing during the release life cycle) ??Executes release testing according to the release test plan ??Identifies, documents and reports release test results ??Addresses defects found in release testing ??Coordinates with the project manager on planning out all tasks that are in line with the testing approach for their assignment. The test analyst role is responsible for: planning and conducting a wide range of quality control tests and analysis to ensure that all application products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. Associates are expected to perform test planning, test design and test execution. G and H Bands may have the additional responsibility of test automation. Top level expert in one or more highly specialized aspects of IT Analysis. Acts independently or with limited direction. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. With this knowledge, develops or modifies the most complex information systems. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system log difficulties as necessary. Guides and advises less-experienced analysts .
