* * *Title:* Remote Desktop Engineer *Location:* RTP, NC *Experience:* 5+ Years *Required skills:* · Experience with Sun Solaris and/or RedHat Enterprise Linux (or equivalent). User-level experience on Mac OS X or recent Windows versions is a plus · General knowledge of operating system fundamentals and troubleshooting practices for boot process, filesystems, manipulating startup scripts and processes, network configuration, NFS client processes and automounter, user account configuration and security. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Knowledge of change management best practices (work with clients and service leads to identify environmental needs, test and schedule upgrades, drive compliance) · Excellent customer interface skills, ability to triage trouble reports and route to the proper group for resolution · Strong skills in technical problem resolution and analytical processes · Team player, adaptable, willing to learn and able to learn quickly · Deployment of XDM2 environment to all “eligible” sites · Upgrading from old NX version to latest 4.0 release · Decommission of old xdm/vnc infrastructure *Responsibilities:* · Become an SME on the NoMachine NX product.
