Job Description: Your primary responsibilities will be to develop highly efficient and highly available server applications for our world class IP security system. These include the design and development of software that directly/indirectly aid in delivery of real-time surveillance content. You will be involved in all aspects – design, develop, debug, and deployment of our product while working with high powered teams to solve challenging problems, using leading edge tools within an agile *Requirements:* Requirements: Proficient in Java Minimal Experience with C++ Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). Experience with implementing unit tests and code coverage for applications. Knowledge of software development environments on Linux and Windows. Experience with threading, resource management, RPC, database access and network programming. Basic understanding of networking concepts. Experience with server side application programming Passion to develop clean and easy to maintain software with extremely high quality standards. Creative and efficient problem solving skills, with a desire to always hold yourself to a higher standard. Able to research and learn new topics and become functional with them quickly. Able to work effectively in a fast paced and agile development environment, using excellent planning, estimation and execution skills. Able to work effectively in a collaborative, high-energy team environment. Able to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form with remote and on-site team members. 3 years software development experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (or related field) or 4 years of equivalent work experience. Preferred: Masters Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or 2 years of equivalent work experience. Experience with additional languages, including but not limited to, C#, Python, Javascript and Bash scripting. Experience with other technologies, like Web Services, SQL, NoSQL, WebSockets, JSON, XML, SOAP and REST. This person must be able to discuss complex software concepts with other developers. o Effectively interface with designers, customers and stakeholders with good verbal and written communication skills. o Solid design skills, with experience in application architectures for desktop, web and embedded platforms. o Passion to develop clean and easy to maintain software with extremely high quality standards. o Very creative problem solve o Experience with WPF, Qt and web programming is desired. o B.S. in Computer Science or related field o 2--?3 years software development experience. Preferred: oMasters Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or 2 years of equivalent work experience. o Experience with digital video other technologies, like JSON, XML, SOAP and REST. o Experience with UI design patterns, like MVP and MVC.
