*Position : Lead** Cognos BI Developer * *Location:- Rariton NJ* *Duration:- Long term* * * Technical Candidate is responsible for following BI best practices and delivery standards for and experienced in Cognos development, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing for complex systems. Must also have the ability to analyze and implement tasks for existing or proposed Cognos systems. The candidate will lead interface with internal developers (on-site and off-shore) as well as business clients and management. Design, develop and deliver project solutions to specified requirements on schedule, handle conflicting priorities, and within budget following appropriate IM methodologies. · A proven ability to work quickly and independently and to provide professional documentation is required. · Candidate must have excellent communications, business consulting, technical and project management skills. A mastery of the technical and process related aspects of the Cognos 10 BI Suite 10 is a must. · Responsible for gathering requirements from Business users, design and develop reports using report studio tool · Experienced in creating new Framework Manager Model and editing existing models. Must have good understanding of data modeling and cardinalities in Cognos Metadata · Ability to analyze performance issues within Cognos FM and Report and timely resolution of the issues · The candidate will consult and interface with internal Project Leads as well as internal clients. Design, develop and deliver project solutions to specified requirements on schedule and within budget following appropriate IM methodologies · Ability to document for both users and developers proposed and implemented solutions · Experienced Cognos hands on development, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing for complex systems · Strong understanding of Oracle database technologies and hands on experience with SQL (Joins, Sub-Queries, Sorting, Unions, etc) and its performance tuning · Ideal candidate would have followed Best Practice for report writing and metadata modeling and would also have datawarehousing experience.
