Oracle SOA Developer
Location: Oakland, CA
Duration: 12+ month contract
Interview Details:  Must be able to interview in person

Position Overview:
**This is a Senior level position so 9+ years would be ideal**

The SOA Developer serves as an advanced-level technical resource
developing, deploying and supporting the Oracle Fusion SOA Suite on
the UCPath Oracle PeopleSoft HCM implementation and production
systems. This position will also support other groups, technical
features and services such as report writing, code reviews, scripting,
and batch processing. This position will provide hands-on support for
delivery of artifacts, complex enhancements, and customizations
supporting the UCPath initiative in a matrixed organization, and can
include authoring technical documents, designing processes and
procedures, defining and documenting setup and configuration, and
reviewing new business processes and solution designs to ensure that
cross-functional teams fully understand the impact of decisions made
during system configuration.

The SOA Developer is recognized as an experienced technical resource
with service oriented architecture, the Oracle SOA Fusion Middleware
stack, Oracle Business Activity Monitoring (BAM), Oracle JDeveloper,
and BEPL. This position is expected to participate in the full
development life cycle for enhancements and customizations, helping in
the successful implementation and efficient ongoing support and
operations of the UCPath business system.

The SOA Developer has the critical responsibilities of ensuring the
quality of the software architecture and function, vendor's
modifications, as well as any enhancements and customizations, meets
or exceeds the University's standards. The SOA Developer is also
responsible to ensure the software is enabled, can operate in
production, and be maintained in a cost effective manner after
implementation.

The SOA Developer will provide critical, advanced daily production
support services for customers and ITS, including research and
resolution of customer inquiries and requests, technical configuration
of UCPath and its supporting systems, data analysis and reporting,
training, and on-call services to support effective and efficient
production operations of the system.
