Candidate will do proof of concept work, prototyping, application customization with the SDK (software development kit) in a Java programming environment. The process they will be using is the user interface for these java applications will send request to Cognos via traditional URL call or CMS (cognos mashup service) to do query building. Cognos returns 2 different data sets, either XML or a rendered chart via JSON. They must be comfortable with both dimensional reporting and the software applications customizations.
