*Location: Woonsocket RI*

*Duration: 6 months*



The Senior Application Data Architect/Data Modeler - E-Commerce is
responsible for but not limited to:

-              Act as technical lead for medium to large projects

-              Review the designs, implements and maintains highly
complex/unique databases, access methods, protection and security,
documentation and statistical methods

-              Leads the review of the design and maintenance of logical
and physical data models (relational & dimensional), data dictionary and
database volumetric and holds LDM reviews with data SMEs

-              Review the data modeling efforts for individual projects
ensuring the consistent use of data element names, data types, business
definitions as well as domain / range values


-              Create, maintain and define ETL specifications and
troubleshoot data movement and transformation challenges.

-              Understand complex data flows, data dependencies and
relations, and develop database design which can support business needs.

-              Program and tune database functions, SQL queries, stored
procedures and triggers, etc.

-              Perform database monitoring, capacity planning, analysis and
optimization

-              Perform database upgrade and patches and evaluation of new
database technology

-              Determines the interrelationships between design and
requirements, formulates and recommends to management new and/or modified
data policies.

-              Oversees requirements gathering sessions with the technical
team and business, assimilates information and maintains effective generic
internal data standards and capabilities while meeting client expectations.

-              Leads the end-to-end physical implementation and maintenance
of data to executable, tuned and efficient database structures.

-              Establishes and enforces the policies and procedures for
version controlling data models and schemas across all the data
technologies employed by the system.

-              Work with project teams to plan integration and
implementation strategies

-              Proactively identify and evaluate emerging technologies and
tools

-              5 years prior application data architect experience must

-              7 to 10 years in Information Technology

-              Master (experienced) in using Erwin or TOAD

-              Applied experience with OOD and UML

-              Experience in all phases of the software development
life-cycle

-              Experience with implementation of large systems that utilize
J2EE technologies, particularly e-Commerce

-              Applied knowledge of Design Patterns

-              Logical Design Demonstrated experience with large scale,
multiple business solutions across divisions or enterprise

-              Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data
modeling and architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels

-              Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical
issues and challenges

-              Demonstrated experience to influence and coordinate third
parties and suppliers.

-              Must be highly organized and detail-orientated

Must have the ability to work closely with team members

-              Good verbal and communication skills

Flexible, motivated self-starter

-              Experience with ATG e-Commerce platform and tools a strong
plus

-              Mobile application development experience a plus

-              Knowledge of Erwin or TOAD is must

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.
