*Position: Middleware Administrator *

*Location: Indianapolis, IN*

*Duration: 12-24 months contract*

*Rate: D.O.E*



*THIS IS A BACKFILL POSITION.*



Administers the application servers for Supply Chain and Merchandising
Applications. This includes managing routine maintenance, upgrades, and
ad-hoc requests. Develops standards, tools, and services to support
application analytics and engineers. Involves 24/7 support on a rotation
basis. This position is required to manage the increasing footprint of
Supply Chain and Merchandising Applications' middleware infrastructure.



Main duties to include:



   - Install and support Weblogic application services.
   - Configure and manager Java Virtual Machines (JVMs) and Java Messaging
   Servers (JMS) infrastructure.
   - Provide support to resolve issues on Weblogic, JBoss, JVMs and/or JMS.
   - Create system administration scripts using Korn, Bash, Perl.
   - Manage load balancing and SSL set-up and configurations.
   - Develop alerts using Enterprise Manager and Big Brother to maintain
   very high uptime.
   - Educate self about the technologies to help with in-flight migration
   plans with Jenkins and RPM.
   - Function as a liaison between Application Engineers, Analysts, DBAs,
   and System Administrators, Network Administrators, Middleware Engineers for
   cross-over issues with Unix/Linux, Network, JMS etc.
   - Provide assistance with application server troubleshooting including;
   garbage collection analysis, thread dump analysis, and system performance
   analysis.
   - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.



*Required Education and/or Experience*



   - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
   - At least 3-5 years of experience in system/application administration.
   - Expert level with Linux administration.
   - Proficient level experience with system administration activities.
   - Above average skill with network administration concepts, database
   concepts (primarily with Oracle).
   - General troubleshooting skills.
   - Good understanding of load balancing, application/webserver security.
   - Standard desktop applications such as MS Office Suite and flowcharting
   tools such as Visio.



*Preferred Experience and/or Technical Skills - Following skills are highly
desired; however the right candidate without these skills will receive
training for missing skillset. *



Experience administering Fusion Middleware, SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus,
and Oracle Enterprise Manager
