* The client is looking for a QA consultant for web-based applications.
They are looking for Selenium experience plus experience with Java,
Javascript and Linux testing experience. *
*Business Summary:*
*Essential Functions and Responsibilities* include the following. Other
duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
· Design, create, document and execute test cases, test procedures
and automated scripts and report results against desktop/online
applications that contain online banking, accounting, office automation and
document management components.
· Develop and execute software test plans in order to identify
software problems and their causes
· Document software defects, using a bug tracking system and report
defects to software developers
· Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
· Create defect reports and feature enhancement requests
· Participate in requirement, design and defect/enhancement reviews
· Reproduce field issues in the QA test environment
· Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware,
operating systems and/or network environments.
· Plan test schedules and strategies in accordance with project
scope and delivery dates.

· No user discovered bugs/defects
· User acceptance of feature changes
· Reduction of known bugs during the development cycle
· On-time delivery of assigned tasks
*Qualities and Traits Required:*
· Well organized
· Detail-oriented
· Good communication skills
· Innovative problem solving skills; the individual identifies and
resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information
skillfully
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional
phone etiquette
*Education/Experience Required:*
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training or experience
· 3 – 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience
· Solid understanding of the SDLC, formal QA process and testing
methodologies
· Experience with Relation database queries, automated test tools
and test case management tools
· Experience with testing in windows operating system environments
and web- based environments
· Understanding of Financial or Bankruptcy industry a plus
· Exposure to the Agile development process a plus
