Duration: 6+months Location: NYC, NY Leading healthcare communications agency seeks System Administrator to provide server administration in both Linux and Windows environments. *Responsibilities:* · Contribute to the design, construction, documentation and maintenance of production infrastructure. · Roll out new servers and services using documented procedures. · Work with application developers to identify and fix application bottlenecks and failures in a highly available environment. · Provide 24/7 support for the production environment. · Support all internal applications running on Linux and FreeBSD systems. *Requirements:* · 5+ years’ experience as a Systems Administrator. · Proven experience in a 24x7 web operations environment. · Experience with Python and Bash scripting. · Experience with virtualization and virtualization management (VMware, AWS, FreeBSD Jails and Openvz containers). · Experience with deploying, configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting Apache HTTPD, Python Django + WSGI + MySQL. · Knowledge of deployment and configuration management systems (Puppet, Rundeck). · Candidate must have strong verbal and written communications skills.
