We have an urgent opening for Programmer/ ETL Developer in support of the *Data Warehouse project. * Kindly send resumes to [email protected]. *Job Description :* Tilte : Programmer/ ETL Developer Location : Columbus, Ohio Duration : Long Term Rate : DOE Programmer/ ETL Developer in support of the *Data Warehouse project*. This will include: *Skill Sets * *Required* Ø *10 or more years* of experience in design, development, modification and testing of ETL processes Ø *10 or more years* of experience developing ETL processes using tools such as Pentaho, Informatica, IBM InfoSphere DataStage, Talend etc. Ø *5 or more years* of software development experience with Oracle databases Ø *5 or more years* of experience developing ETL processes against dimensional/star-schema based data structures including fact tables (commonly referred to as Kimball). *Desired* Ø Experience developing and modifying ETL processes with Pentaho Ø Experience scheduling ETL processes Ø Experience with Cognos business intelligence tools Ø Software development experience with Oracle RDBMS 11g Ø Software development experience with IBM DB2/UDB Ø Experience developing ETL against normalized data structures (commonly referred to as Inmon) Ø Knowledge of property and casualty insurance systems Ø Experience using Oracle SQL*Plus, Toad, Oracle PL/SQL Developer Ø Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Ø Experience developing and modifying scripts in a Linux or Unix environment Ø Experience in measuring and tuning the performance of batch systems in a Linux or Unix environment Ø Skill in the use of organizational tools & methods (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, VISIO, Clarity) Ø Ability to quickly adapt to changes, enhancements, and new technologies *Typical Daily Activities:* During a given day, this position will be expected to: Ø Work with Business Analysts and potentially business customers to verify requirements. Ø Follow design documents involving source and destination databases. Ø Interpret design documents to understand mapping and transformational requirements. Ø Design, develop and test ETL processes using Pentaho or comparable ETL tool to move data to/from relational and star-schema based data structures.
