Need a strong architect with excellent communication skills. READ THE REQUIREMNT CAREFULLY. *I do not need SQL Server guys… NEED MYSQL CANDIDATES.* *GENERAL DESCRIPTION * Incumbent serves as a SQL data architect, responsible for maintaining, improving, cleaning and manipulating data in databases. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* · Performs ad-hoc analysis of data stored in MS SQL and MySQL databases. · Writes SQL scripts, functions, stored procedures, and views. · Troubleshoots data issues and presents solutions to the issues. · Will spend most of the time cleaning and manipulating data, complex calculations, stored procedures, and optimizing existing stored procedures using indexing, temp tables, logic changes, etc. · Provides business challenges and opportunities by retrieving, analyzing, organizing, and presenting data to management. · Ability to create and run data migration across different servers and different databases for example: data migration from SQL Server to MySQL. · Performs other related duties as required or assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* · *Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in computer technology or related field. * · *Experience in SQL Server 2008 and 2008 R2.* · *Experience in MySQL 5.5 and above is necessary.* · *Fluent in using tools like MySQL Workbench, Sequel Pro is necessary.* · *Very strong T-SQL programming skills.* · *Database development using views, T-SQL, MSSQL and/or MySQL scripts and SSIS packages and transforms. * · *Integrate with technical development team and provide database structural assistance and guidance. * · *Ability to manage and work with large complex sets of data.* · *Experience in retrieving information from Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL databases.* · Experience in analyzing volumes of data using Microsoft Excel functions, such as pivot tables and macros. · Strong interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to translate technical concepts as appropriate to the level of the audience. · Ability to work self-directed and as part of a team on projects of varying size; shows commitment to tasks, project, and to team. · Working experience in a high-availability database environment. · Work frequently with BI/Analytics team on application and data specific needs. · Follow SCRUM agile methodology process and development practices.
