*Position: Oracle Fusion Middleware Architect*

*Location: Waltham MA*

*Duration: 6-12 months*



*PURPOSE AND SCOPE:*



·         Functions as an Oracle Portal / J2EE Architect by architecting
flexible and maintainable solutions, for corporate wide intranet portal
which is hosted on an Oracle Fusion Middleware Stack.

·         Architects and designs integration with varied third party
applications to design and create enriched Portals to add true value to
Business Operations and Users.

·         Designs and develops custom portlets, custom applications,
reusable frameworks and Shared Services Organization integration programs.

·         Implements larger Portal and other application’s projects.

·         This includes interacting with users, designing solutions,
developing, testing, documenting, and finally implementing the projects
into Production environments.

·         Provides the appropriate level of support expected to ensure the
projects succeed.

·         Mentors other senior and junior developers in the team.



*Key technologies* and tools, the person will be required to work with,
will include:

·         Oracle Fusion Middleware product suite, including, Web Center
Portal, Oracle ADF, APEX, Secure Search, OID, OAM

·         Excellent SQL / Plsql skills

·         J2EE platform, Oracle ADF, Struts framework and Java Applications

·         Unix, Shell scripting

·         Programming in Java, C++

·         Microsoft Windows and Products

·         UML

·         JDeveloper, TOAD, Front end publishing tools and other related
tools required to do the development
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS

·         6 plus years of development with the specified technologies and
toolsets – specifically relational database technology, transaction
processing systems, and advanced modeling and design tools.

·         5 plus years of designing applications and integrating with other
technologies and applications.

·         5 plus years of experience with Oracle technology of which, at
least 2 plus years with Oracle Fusion Middleware (versions 11g and later).



*Reasonably advanced modeling skills*

·         Ability to architect simple and complex solutions related to
integration with other applications and design.

·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

o   Ability to express complex technical concepts in a simple effective way
both verbally and in written documentation.

o   Ability to work well with varying types of people from different
disciplines and varying degrees of technical expertise.

o   Candidate should be able to gather accurate User requirements to design
and develop correctly and efficiently to deliver to the user as per their
expectations.

·         Ability to present formally to users and customers during
gathering requirements, workshops and feedback sessions.

·         Works as a contributing member of the team to ensure smooth
working and efficient and quick delivery of applications, internet/intranet
sites, and projects.

Ø  Comes with very strong foundation in *Oracle DB, Sql / PL Sql*
technologies, as well as a strong grounding in *Java* and associated
Frameworks, especially *JSF*.

Ø  Guides teammates to define development processes, methodologies, *JEE /
J2EE* design and frameworks to assist in creating easily maintained and
migrate-able intranet and internet sites.

Ø  Mentors teammates *on Oracle Fusion Middleware, Products and development
tools provided within the Oracle FMW framework like Application Express
(APEX), ADF, Web Center Portal, Oracle WCM (Content Mgmt S/w) etc.*

Ø  Should be able to work independently with Business Customers to design
and create suitable solutions and business processes.

Ø  Ensures the distribution of knowledge for applications being designed
and built within the team to ensure assigned jobs are completed according
to schedule and that all deadlines are met.

Ø  Ensures the design of sufficient documentation for easy hand-over of
projects.

Ø  Participates in the formulation and design of methodologies for the
Intranet/Internet group.

Ø  Ensures compliance with the established standards for the IT Dept.,
Shared Services Group and the Internet/Intranet Group.

Ø  Mentors other developers and junior staff



*This involves: *

Ø  Gathering user requirements and documenting them

Ø  Building the system

Ø  Testing the system

Ø  Supporting the system through Quality assessments

Ø  Technically documenting the application,

Ø  Following and building implementation procedures and documentation for
applications
