*Kindly let me know if you are interested in this position.* *.Net/Java Application Architect* *Location: Hartford, CT * *Duration: 6 months* *Job Description:* *Hands on design experience* *on .Net/java Applications architecture with Enterprise Integration design Patterns.* *Technical Understanding of Mobile UI Design Patterns and Mobile Software Design Patterns and Architecture* *Integration.* *Mandatory Skills:* Expertise in *.Net/Java Application Architecture* in the Enterprise Architecture organization. Performs Architect role for complex architectural significance involving one or more of the following: new applications, new services, complex integration between applications. Determines architectural significance (and priority) for requirements gathering. Produces standard UML models (Use Case Diagram, Component Designs, etc.) that depict the appropriate solutions that align *to Aetna standards*, guidelines and strategies. Ensures end-to-end architectural solution (across technical domains) that meets business requirements. Participates in planning activities with project team providing direction from architecture perspective (technical dependencies, architectural risks, etc.). Ensures alignment to Aetna standards and guiding principles (EAG, Infrastructure, blueprints). Participates in work product inspections for other Architects within domain and provides feedback that provides value. Facilitates architectural solution sessions with all stakeholders effectively. Escalates issues to Architecture Management team as needed. *Experience Desired:* 10+ year experience in enterprise, application architecture design methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Knowledge of various technologies such as *Mainframe/Cobol, java, and .net.* Extensive knowledge of architectural patterns and implementations. *Good to Have:* Effective verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentations for all levels of management combined with strong collaboration/influencing ability. Knowledge of *Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).* Knowledge of Healthcare, Insurance, and/or Financial services industry. *Education and Certification Requirements* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
