The SM will engage in project planning per the business asks, create and maintain sprint backlog and status reports. The SM will also facilitate sprint review, retrospective, and planning activities Essential Job Functions - Leading Scrum teams of business analysts, software developers and quality assurance engineers to deliver high quality software applications and solutions - Work on one or multiple small to large scale technical projects/applications at a time, as well as ongoing production support - Work as part of an Agile team to solve problems and deliver projects in a fast paced environment - Lead and manage the efficiency, productivity, and processes of Agile teams - Communicate with VP of Software Development, colleague ScrumMasters, Shared Services, Operations and Development Teams to maintain sprint health via proactive risk management and roadblock resolution - Project planning per Business Roadmap, create and maintain Sprint Backlog and status reports - Drive Clarity for team and business minimizing mid sprint surprises - Facilitate sprint review, retrospective, and planning activities - Evangelize and enforce Agile methodology - Escalate issues, concerns or blocks as appropriate for resolution - Hold team accountable for commitments - Constantly facilitate higher velocity and quality - Maintain low level of code debt Skills and Requirements: - 4+ years working in a ScrumMaster capacity, or Project Manager or related role - Bachelors or Masters Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field is preferred - Knowledge of Agile Methodology (Scrum, Sprint Planning, Product Backlogs, Sprint Backlogs) and Team Foundation Server (TFS) to manage Sprint Cycles - Understand basic fundamentals of iterative software development processes and procedures - Must be able to garner respect from his/her team and be willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done - Communicative and social – Must be able to communicate well with teams - Facilitative – Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team - Assertive – Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls. - Situationally Aware – Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management - Enthusiastic – Must be high-energy - Continual improvement - Must continually be growing ones craft learning new tools and techniques to manage oneself and a team - Conflict resolution - Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches - Attitude of empowerment - Must be able to lead a team to self-organization - Attitude of transparency – Must desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about development and grow business trust -Loan Originations is a strong plus. -Domain Knowledge is a strong plus Thanks & Regards, Prasad Mamidela | Technical Recruiter | Cigniti Inc.
