*ETL Developer* *This is a contract position in Boston, MA (6 months+)* *Needs to be able to interview in person after phone interview* *Scope of Services* Meet with key system owners to understand current data and systems environments and business rules governing transformation activities. Analyze source system data to assess quality and to understand the relationships between system components and to define the best strategy for handling data anomalies in a way that distinguishes the criticality of controls over operational data (data mart) and the upcoming data warehouse. Design, build, test and deploy data integration components for data repositories across multiple systems that ensure data owners retain control and that three configurable attributes (technical, ownership and relationship) can be maintained. Promote data movement, data quality, and data cleansing best practices. Design ETL processes, mappings, workflows, and load processes with transformation rules that resolve data issues. Document the ETL environment and related configuration management activities. Provide data analysis and technical documentation for both source and target mappings and advise developers on design decisions that affect data performance. *Qualifications: * At least 7 years of ETL methodology and data design experience with PostGRE, Oracle, Netezza or SQL Server databases Expert level development using Informatica and at least one other ETL tool and ability to troubleshoot issues independently Experience working with large databases and data warehouse environments Experience with Linux (Preferably Redhat) and Shell Scripting. Good working knowledge of XML and schemas in Informatica PowerCenter *Responsibilities* Establish, maintain and enforce ETL architecture design principles, techniques, standards and best practices Drive the technical design of ETL reference architecture to ensure high data quality, data integration performance and error recovery/handling Collaborate with Business Analysts, and DBAs to understand business requirements, data, and optimize ETL performance Develop complex ETL mappings as part of the MassAnalytics sub-projects Develop and deploy utilities that assist in the daily maintenance of the ETL platform and automation of the jobs Performance tune the workflows as part of the development.
