Establishes the conceptual, logical, and physical technical architecture for solutions, aligning standards, patterns, and practices across programs and delivery projects. Defines Application Architecture that supports and optimizes systems landscape and provides a high-level blueprint of systems, services, and technology needed to support and enable the business strategies, demands, objectives, and vision of the company. Provides strategic thinking and advice to the leadership team. Guides project portfolio, schedule, and key investments to achieve a strategic architecture. *ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Describe the essential functions for which the Job is accountable. Essential Functions are those which are specific and unique to this position and when removed changes the nature of the job itself. % of Time (must equal 100%) Job Function • Ensure alignment of enterprise architecture and business strategy. • Interface with project delivery teams to participate in creating project solutions and technical plans. • Create and maintain architecture vision, responsible for defining IT technical strategies and roadmaps. • Develop and maintain cross system architecture models, views, and documentation (service catalogs, technical inventories, system landscapes, etc.). • Support Business Leads to align business systems strategy with IT technologies and future solutions. • Provide the IT architecture assurance/conscience for enterprise. • Investigate and propose technology strategies that can better support the company's business strategies. • Set standards/guidance for regulatory compliance, technology use policy, systems security, and best practices. • Develop and maintain relationships with business partners and technical staff, key points of contact, and leadership to strengthen cross region views and align strategies. • Occasional Travel: California. *FUNCTIONAL JOB COMPETENCIES* Job Competencies are an additional component to defining a job that addresses how we do things. Just as every job requires specific job skills and job knowledge that are unique to the job; different jobs require specific job competencies that you must have in order to do the job successfully. • Experience in leading major enterprise architecture delivery in key business areas for mortgage, banks, and/or financial entities. • Knowledge of approaches (benefits and pitfalls) to deliver incremental business benefits from technical project initiatives • Demonstrate ability to align between enterprise architecture, business architecture, and technical/solutions architecture to deliver innovative solutions • Proven ability to drive initiatives without any formal authority in an ambiguous environment, relying on well-developed influencing skills, as well as technical knowledge • Experience turning research ideas into actionable designs. Able to persuade stakeholders and to champion effective techniques through delivery • Knowledge of the real world experiences associated with emerging application technologies/approaches and their application • Excellent ‘all around’ communication skills, performance management, good delivery practice and techniques, as well as fluent written and spoken English. *EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS* What level of education or specialized training is required to perform the job? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent work experience required List any special certifications, licenses, and/or knowledge requirements for this job: Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies and development (C#/.NET) How many years of directly related job experience are required to be qualified to enter the job? 3+ years of enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, and system design experience.
