*Job Title: Java Developer II * *Location: Owings Mills, MD* *Duration: 6 Months* *Rate: $50/hr on C2C* *NO OPT's Please* *Job Description & Responsibilities:* Coding, testing and analyzing 2-tier, 3-tier, or N-tier client/server applications. Create efficient and maintainable new applications using Java, C++, C#, Python, PERL, and XML. Utilizes databases that support access by Web-based clients, including Oracle, DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server. Extensive coding using servlets, CGI scripting, ODBC, JDBC. Additionally, utilizes HTML and graphical tools, e.g., DreamWeaver, to create or enhance the functionality of the web sites. Confers with clients to identify requirements (e.g., data, information needs, processing, specific output, functional and development of test data), and determines their desired outcomes in order to formulate the design of the system and/or offer alternative solutions in a timely manner. Provides technical guidance to less experienced staff during implementation. Mentors new or junior staff members on business knowledge, system peculiarities, and complex technical issues. Analyzes, designs, and documents information to create the applicable statement of work and the associated deliverables. Proactively analyzes and reviews emerging technologies, changes in the Insurance/Healthcare industry and the business functions of various clients, in order to determine if the advanced applications fit the needs of changing strategies, goals and objectives.
