*DEVOPS SYSTEM ENGINEER* Location: Glendale, Arizona Duration: Six Months JOB DESCRIPTION: The DevOps System Engineer will develop, enhance and support automated tools that provide source code management and system configuration management for a large scale Java Spring application. In this role, the DevOps Engineer will implement and extend both COTS and homegrown automated tools using Jenkins, DSLs, ANT, Maven, Chef and shell scripts as well as troubleshoot and fix existing automated jobs. This includes automated deployment script updates, support and maintenance for all releases and platforms. In addition, the engineer will work with VMWare, Chef, and Docker to develop and support automated platform provisioning for the program. In addition to automation, the DevOps Engineer will monitor, analyze and recommend enhancements to the build and deployment pipeline to ensure builds are deployed in an accurate and timely manner. The DevOps Engineer needs to be a highly motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and when given specific tasks can take responsibility for completing them in a timely manner without significant guidance. * RESPONSIBILITIES:* Experienced in code configuration management tools and platform provisioning strategies. Ability to develop and maintain build and deployment processes for Java based multi-tiered applications. Systems Engineering/Administration experience with shell scripting, process management, and IP capability. Manage existing release process from development hand off to QA to deployment into Production. Identify and assist in design/implementation of automated tools to improve deployment pipeline efficiency; Administer, manage, and maintain platform provisioning scripts and tools.
